From The Mouth Of A Democrat

"While young Americans are dying in the sands of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan, our nation is being torn apart and made weaker because of the Democrats' manic obsession to bring down our commander in chief... I ask which leader it is today that has the vision, the willpower, and yes, the backbone to best protect my family? The clear answer to that question has placed me in this hall with you tonight. For my family is more important than my party. There is but one man to whom I am willing to entrust their future and that man's name is George Bush."
- Democrat Senator Zell Miller

I couldn't have said it better myself! R~

No Robin......Zell Miller is a conservative democrat from the south. Thankfully I'm an independent. I remember the days when there were liberals, conservatists and moderate democrats and republicans. Today, every one seems to loop everyone else in to a pool of either conservatives or liberals. See even you thought Zell was a liberal. Nope! No way.
Your moderate, independent friend,

Angela,

Of course you are right.  He is a conservative Democrat, and I do realize that there are varying degrees of conservatives and liberals on ALL sides.  But generally speaking, in today's political arena, Democrats are known as liberals and Republicans as conservatives.  So, with all that in mind......I'll change my heading from:  "From the mouth of a liberal" to From the mouth of a Democrat".  That should set the record straight.  I too have been an Independent for years.  We have that in common!  Thanks for your comment!

I live in Georgia and I am so tired of the hype Zell Miller is getting.  My personal opinion is that he needs to just switch parties and be done with it.  But that's my opinion.  I respect your opinion and as long as we do that, we'll be fine.  :-)
